As anyone who has seen my films can agree, one of my many talents is the ability to use my body to bring meaning and joy to the world. I have been a dancer for many years, since I was a little girl, really. I began with ballet and never looked back. That's why it was such a thrill to be able to expose my gifts to the world in STRIPPED TO KILL 5--ROOT OF EVIL.
For my role as "Kat," the shy yet streetwise young woman in search of true meaning to her life while helping track down a serial killer, I researched my role at the legendary (but now sadly closed--I think it's Jack-in-the-Box now) "Shake-a-Booty" in downtown L.A. and found that lapdancing is not just entertainment...it truly is an artform. I was able to use my junior high cheerleading skills to create the subtle, highly choreographed dance numbers that won me my first "Golden G-String" award. This film is also notable for my second death scene, where Kat is stabbed by a killer patron. I found the director's use of blood rivulets dripping over my naked breasts to be breathtakingly bold and evocative.
FYI: They don't tell you this when you're filming, but sometimes fake blood goes bad and gets a nasty taste (although I've had worse in my mouth). When you see the scene where I spit up a mouthful of blood--it's just before I silently pledge my undying love to Rocco, the hero--I was actually really vomiting a little bit. The director thought it added to the realism and decided to keep it in the film. Oh, Hollywood!
